I've had a pretty great Australia Day in China:...
But nothing beats getting back to the hostel in time to catch the final 5 in Triple J’s Hottest 100. M83’s Midnight City always makes me feel amazing and Gotye is around the corner! Might be my favourite year of songs yet. Actually, maybe hugging a baby panda beats this. But only just.

I don’t want to put them here so my parents and family won’t read this and cramp my style, and China has blocked the website you use to reblog things from yourself so I can’t post them here without having to do everything twice… so follow me there! China has cool things you want to see! Incidentally, China has also blocked .tumblr domains but not tumblr itself for some...

Just saw a status update by my best friend.
“Nothing like spending New Years Eve watching one of your best friends who is extremely drunk, break into her own house, wearing nothing but her bikini. Yep. Fun times :)” Allegedly this was me?!? I mean I was in a bikini but I have no memory of this. Happy New Year children.

marxisforbros: darthvegan replied to your post: Fun Fact #231: I would rather eat my own dick than ever watch Grease again. People can say what they want, but the moral to that shit was: change every aspect of yourself and the tool who has been ignoring you will finally like you back. I was so confused when I watched Grease for the first time. Mum had to explain to me that yes, it really does...

Got into Law, went to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and London - alone! - drove around the British countryside with a friend, swam with sharks, met so many awesome people, I even made Grandad’s yearly family bulletin. 2012, with its trips to China (Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Xian, Harbin and Beijing), Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and hopefully - maybe - an application for exchange, is more...

China in 3.5 days!
jessinchina: The Great Firewall of China means no Facebook, so those who would like to can see what I’m up to here. I must warn you though, you might have to see me hugging a baby panda, and you might die of jealousy.

My littlest sister is reading the copy of Alice Pung’s autobiography, Unpolished Gem, that I gave her - before the Hunger Games trilogy that she actually asked for. She’s loving it. My other little sister is reading The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins. I found out yesterday that my contact in China can’t buy train tickets for me, so my brother and I will be flying all...

Never had one, probably never will, stuffy robes and listening to a bunch of self-important pricks who’ve made money off of ruining Melbourne Uni?
