This is a perfect example of the state not being about to react as quickly as the market/culture. Oskar Lange thought that modern technology would give the state the ability to understand the intimacy of the public’s wants and needs. But even with all the information at the fingertips of the state it still cannot keep up with the public. It is a lumbering behemoth that will trample on our hearts forever.
64%, SIXTY-FOUR PERCENT! If someone won with 64% of the vote in an election it would be considered a landslide victory. Here, sadly, we have a perfect example of the minority being unable to (or unwilling to) express the views of the majority.
