After reading that article about kartiya being like Toyotas, I’m rather more nervous about volunteering in an indigenous community, and this email now raises some alarm bells that I wouldn’t have considered a week ago. 

My problem is this: I hope to do an Aurora internship eventually, but I’d like to test the waters with a non-legal volunteer position first. 

Have any of you volunteered in indigenous communities before? I can’t do this one because I’d have to defer uni for it, but can anyone recommend a reputable program? Preferably running next winter break?
