Does anyone really appreciate how claustrophobic it feels to be told that you shouldn’t walk home alone at night? Even for a five minute trip?

I don’t drive. I don’t live with my parents. I don’t have a chauffeur boyfriend. I’m on a student budget. I value my independence. How am I supposed to get anywhere or do anything?
