How is it possible that Haysey and I saw Ruby Sparks in an empty cinema this evening?

It is my new favourite movie. No hyperbole. It is everything I’ve been wanting to see in a romantic comedy without even realising that was where I wanted to see it. I squealed and gasped and I was tense and I’m terrible at guessing obvious plotlines in movies but I really, really didn’t know where this was going to go. I loved every single second. It was so real and genuine and relatable. Sometimes painfully relatable. And the message, of course, was perfect.

It was wonderful. 5/5. Time will be the best decider of this but right now I’m almost positive that it is the best romantic comedy I have ever seen.

And even though a movie like that deserves better, I’m glad I got to watch it with my Haysey in an empty cinema, giggling and talking and putting our feet on the seats like we were in someone’s lounge room.
